This bill presumes that a lawful occupant of a home, automobile, or workplace has reasonable fear of imminent death or serious bodily harm to himself or another when using defensive or deadly force against someone who has unlawfully and forcibly entered the premise. It also amends several gun laws regarding the right to own, possess and carry a firearm. Civitas believes the conservative position is to support the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and allow individuals to protect themselves, their families and their property from unlawful and dangerous intruders.
