HB 819; ACR - Coastal Management Policies

This bill prohibits the state from defining the rate of sea-level rise, for purposes of crafting regulations, until 2016 and also requests that updates be made to an initial report indicating drastic sea-level rise. Civitas believes the conservative position is to only use realistic, science-based projections of sea-level rise to protect the development and economic growth of North Carolina’s coastal counties.
