SB 744; A13 - Eliminate Funding for Opportunity Scholarships

This amendment to the budget bill would have eliminated funding for the Opportunity Scholarship program passed in 2013 by the legislature. Civitas believes the conservative position is to increase school choice opportunities that empower families to enroll children in the schools they determine to be best suited to their childrens needs rather than having children assigned to public schools simply based on where children live.
