HB 8 (3R) - Eminent Domain Constitutional Amendment

Proposes to amend the state constitution to strengthen the protection of private property. This bill limits the legal use of eminent domain of the state to obtaining private property for public use only. Currently, the law states that eminent domain can be used to obtain property for “public use or benefit.”
