SB 37 - VETO OVERRIDE - In-Person Learning Choice for Families

Senate Bill 37 expands freedom for North Carolina families by requiring that government-run schools offer an option for students to receive in person instruction. The governor cited health concerns in his veto of the bill; however, the bill required local school districts to provide an in-person learning option for students following the health safety guidelines set out by the governor for safe school reopening. The threat of learning loss deserves immediate action, and SB 37 is a compromise solution. The vote to expand freedom is a vote YES on the veto override for Senate Bill 37.
