SB 9; VO - No Discriminatory Purpose in Death Penalty

This bill amends the Racial Justice Act by beginning to restore the concept that justice is blind and that random statistics have no place in the courts. Civitas believes the conservative position is to ensure that justice is served in a fair and legal manner and is blind to the issue of race.
