House Bill 1080 would make several mostly technical changes to North Carolina revenue laws. But Section 7.4 includes a provision to extend the sunset for the Job Development Investment Grant program (JDIG) from Jan. 1, 2021 to 2030. This is a program built on cronyism that direct taxpayer dollars to politically-favored corporations. There is no place for politicians to pick winners and losers in our market economy.
