SB 27 (2R) - Local Annexations Subject to 60% Petition

This bill requires that specified local pending involuntary annexations be subject to a petition to deny the annexation by property owners of at least 60 percent of the parcels located in the area. Civitas believes the conservative position is to protect private property owners and allow citizens to determine whether or not they want to be part of a city.
