House Bill 536 allows the state’s restaurants to expand their outdoor seating capacity and authorizes the opening of bars in the state. The governor closed bars and restaurants for dine in services in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Restaurant reopenings have been slow and burdensome, and bars have not been allowed to reopen at all. This bill would provide much needed relief to the business owners who have had their livelihoods threatened by inconsistent and seemingly arbitrary government restrictions. The vote to defend freedom is yes for House Bill 536.
